Primarily these workshops are for students who wish to, ‘Focus‘ on their own work using their own research materials. Students set their own pace. Starting a new piece or bringing along work in progress or both as they wish. Students work in their preferred medium using their own materials.

What’s The Plan for The Day?

Students complete some quick warm up activities before settling down to focus on their own individual work.

Nina gives in depth advice on all stages of working a piece. From choosing a subject / medium, building a composition / looking at focal points, perspective, choosing colours / colour balance, texture / tonal recession, painting techniques / using materials, finishes etc.

A homework plan for continuing with work is discussed with each student so that work develops at home between workshops.
